One part of this class I disliked was that I felt overwhelmed by the focus on the history of personality assessment. The class went into a lot of details on how it developed, but the class never mentioned the development in the 21th century. I know it is essential to know the history of this subject, especially as an undergraduate student new to the field. But the personality testing is blooming in modern society, and computers and best-selling books played vital roles that made the personality so popular in daily life. I was willing to hear the discussion on the major dominant personality test, even though many professional psychologists do not highly recommend them, but it belongs to the development of modern psychology, and I feel it is more relevant to a student when she graduates from school.
